none

I’ll admit it. I’m a tea junkie.

I love the hardcore Japanese stuff -none of Oprah’s icky sweet Teavana Chai for me.

A few years into this career I learned the hard way that certain teas and voice over don’t mix.

Black tea? The tannic acid in a good strong ‘cuppa will close your throat like drinking sand.

Add milk and that blobby green monster from the Mucinex commercials will take up permanent residence in your nasal passages.

Peppermint tea is a surprising villain. It’ll leave you dry as a wooly sock.

Water’s the best but if you must do tea, stick with the caffeine-free fruity herbals or a tea called “Throat coat” from the health food store.

So now that you know what’s good to drink in the voice booth, let’s talk about mouth noise.

That’s the topic of this week’s INSIDE VOICE OVER video training blog which you can watch here:

After you watch the video, I want to know your thoughts. Was this helpful? Write to me in the comments box. I want to learn what’s on your mind so I can support you and share your best practices.
