As a new voice over talent, it’s wise to start caring for yourself like an elite athlete.
\nYour voice is not only the mirror of your soul, it’s an integral part of your body and if you’re in poor physical shape, you won’t be able to perform like you need to.<\/p>\n

The New York Times recently profiled the actor Edoardo Ballerini, an audio books superstar, best known for his work on Jess Walter’s novel Beautiful Ruins, the 2012 Audio Book of the Year. <\/p>\n

Top narrators like Ballerini record daily for hours at a time. They avoid foods like cheese or yogurt that make their mouths pasty, drinks like espresso that increase stomach noise, and sip water frequently to keep the saliva flowing.<\/p>\n

They also follow a fitness regimen to keep their body strong, loose and relaxed, and to help counteract the many hours spent behind the mic.<\/p>\n
