Recently I went to Birdland, a top NY jazz club, to watch a show by a friend of mine, the singer Alexis Cole. (www.alexiscole.com)

She and her trio knocked it out of the park and as she sang and scatted her heart out, I was struck by how hard musicians work to perfect their craft; the countless hours of practice, the focus, the pure unadulterated love of the music.

I remember when she left her day job to grow her career. It wasn’t easy, but now here she is– confident and glowing, at the top of her game.

I love to study greatness because as they say, success leaves tracks.

So how are your habits?

Early to bed and lots of veggies or cigarettes and chocolate milk?

In this week’s Inside Voice Over video training blog I explore how you can put the power of habit to work in your voice over career so you can enjoy the magic of momentum and accelerate your learning curve.

We all need a little help, right?
