When you book a voice over job most of the time you’ll be recording from home.

But every now and then you’ll be called to an outside studio, a professional facility with an audio engineer. All you have to do is show up, take direction and talk.

It’s heaven!

But there are a few things you should know about professional recording studios sessions before you go…that is, if you want to look like a pro.

For example, how to give a level, adjust the mic without touching it (that’s biggie!), adjust the copy stand so you can see your script and the right (and the wrong) way to wear your headphones so you don’t inadvertently damage your hearing.
