How does your voice sound when you first wake up in the morning?
Some people think it’s their best voice of the day…deep, husky, sexy. But for others, morning voice means lots of phlegm and constant throat clearing.
You might be surprised to learn that you should have a morning voice workout, just like you do for the rest of your body.
Without proper preparation, it can take awhile before the voice is warmed up and ready for the microphone.
It also matters what you eat for breakfast.
In this week’s Inside Voiceover I share my favorite morning voice wakeup routine. Hopefully you will find it helpful, not only to warm up your voice, but to keep it healthy all day long.

Thanks for the tips. I definitely have to hydrate more and less coffee!
Thanks Susan great tips.
Love your VO blogs. Very helpful information. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Hello Susan! As a matter of fact, I was thinking when I woke up today – uh-oh, morning voice! Thanks for the tips. My last two Citi sessions have been at 6 a.m. my time, so I had to get up extra early to warm up my voice and body. I use your vocal exercises, starting with the lip flutters, go into some singing exercises IO know, and also do stretching and a few yoga exercises. It works great and I was ready for recording! Thank you – love the video tips! Have a great day! ~~ Cinnamon
Hi…this is great. especially the part about the morning news(smile).
Question:..Could you show us a sample of a blank affidavit and contract so that we know that we are presenting the right information concerning payment for our services etc.
Thanks so much
