What goes through your head when you turn on the mic?

Many voice over beginners approach the craft by listening to the sound of their voice, trying to direct themselves as they perform.

This, unfortunately, is a recipe for disaster and could be the reason why your career is stalled and you haven’t been booking as much as you’d like.

In fact, I often tell my students to work without headphones so they are not tempted to listen to themselves as they act the script.

(If you have to wear headphones in the studio to hear the director, I suggest listening through one hear only)

Fortunately, there’s a simple mindset tweak that will get you on track and keep you there so you’ll never be accused of sounding like an announcer when you perform
I teach it to you in this week’s Inside Voiceover so you can try it in your very next audition or practice session.
