I can’t remember the last time I ate at McDonald’s.
Yes, I am a foodie. A food snob. And frankly, I’d rather starve than bite into a Big Mac.
I have a collection of fine imported olive oils, a bottle of pomegranate molasses in my cupboard, artisan breads for my discerning palate.
But I really admire McDonalds for their marketing.
They are masters and believe it or not, there is one simple thing they do with every sale that every voice over artist should copy right away.
It’s easy, ethical and it won’t cost you a dime. But will drastically increase the value of every voice over job you do.
Curious?

I like the upsell idea. How big of a job is reasonable for a one day service?
We do alot of voice prompts so in that realm, we can do about 300 recorded and edited prompts/day/ Most same day jobs are quick additions or copy changes so they are generally quite short.
See you at Bootcamp, Mary!
I still have no money, and is very
disheartening.
Upsell…This is a great idea….never heard it mentioned before in voice over. Thanks for being on point Susan…keep up the good work.

Thanks, Ernie. Let me know how it goes for you.
I completely agree in your evaluation of McDonald’s marketing. I still don’t eat there though…:-)
You have to give them credit though, right? Good to hear from you again Sandie!
