It’s a common theme in movies and literature….what would you do for a thousand dollars, a hundred thousand dollars, a million bucks?

These “deals with the devil” make for interesting entertainment.

But in your voice over career?

I don’t think so

Here’s what I’m talking about.

The word on the street is that certain e-learning companies are asking talent to provide 24 hour turnaround on lengthy scripts, scripts that should normally take 2-3 days to record and edit.

And here’s the kicker…the rates being paid for this super-human service are ‘meh.’ They’re even below average.

So what’s the deal? Is this a new trend?

Should you just suck it up, drink a few cans of Red Bull, pull an all-nighter and be happy you’re working at all?

Or is there a way to stand your ground, set reasonable guidelines for how you work, and keep your sanity without losing business?

Click this link now, my friend. I’ll explore this delicate issue and more in this week’s Inside Voice Over Video training blog.
