Happy Thanksgiving!
I’m so grateful you’re in my life and a subscriber to Inside Voice Over.
Whatever your plans, I hope your holiday is filled with friends, family and wonderful memories.
This week, I’d like to answer a common question:
Where can I find scripts for my voice over demo?
Before I answer I just want to make sure you’re ready to make that demo.
You to get some training before you do your demo, and you should record your demo in a professional studio with an experienced coach.
Without a competitive demo, you won’t find work in voice over, so please don’t record your demo before you’re ready, alone at home.
Now that that’s off my chest, I’ve got some great tips to help you prepare for your demo in this week’s Inside Voiceover.
I think you’ll be surprised by what I have to say about scripts.
Check out this week’s short video training on voice over demos and then let me know what you think, ok?
And after you watch the video I want to know whether you’ve made your voice over demo yet and how its working for you. Got big plans for your voice over career in 2016?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments box. I want to read about what’s on your mind so I can support you.
To your voice over success,
Susan Berkley,

I found it very useful to learn that using a 15 second bit of an existing commercial is legal.
Thank you for your continued informative advise.
Robert
You’re very welcome!
Hi Susan,
Thanks for your contribution to the Voiceover industry.
I am a”grtgr” person. Yes I admit it. Not in denial. Love the preparation. I’ve made two VO demos and they’re not “perfect”. Needless to say I’ve contacted a few people or sent emails…I could go on but I won’t.
I have received your script to get my voice assessed and have not called for my interview. WHY? …”grtgr”.I will soon..

We’ll be looking for you Gwen!
I am in the process of setting up a voice over studio and would like your opinion on mic and equipment that I will need to purchase . I am thinking of a good quality middle of the road mic but I need some brands and models.
Thanks
Chris
Hi Chris, We offer consultations with our audio engineer as a service. If you would like to book some time with him, please contact talent@greatvoice.com or call us at 800-333-8108. Good luck with your home studio!
Haven’t made a demo. I have the voice to do something it’s a matter of training so I can attack a script with a strategy that effectively delivers the material to the audience. I am determined but will not record until I’m sure.
Hi Al, you’re smart not to do your demo until you’re well trained. Need help? Give us a call. 800-333-8108 or talent@greatvoice.com
As usual your tips are always helpful. Greatly appreciated.
