I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “Don’t quit your day job.”
It calls to mind humiliating Star Search auditions or your tone deaf Cousin Zelda screeching her favorite aria at Thanksgiving dinner…again.
Nobody wants to be “that guy”.
But here’s the thing.
Your poor deluded cousin is an embarrassment to the family not because of her lack of talent but because of her confidence in her lack of talent.
She hasn’t even thought to do what a normal person would do to develop themselves…study, practice and humbly seek feedback from a qualified and supportive teacher –and when ready– a receptive audience.
Talent is developed in action and meant for the enjoyment and benefit of others, not to feed our own ego.
So with that in mind, check out this week’s Inside Voice Over short video training blog and then let me know your thoughts in the comments section. I always love to hear from you.

Susan, I love your advice! You explain things in a very simple, down to earth way. I love what I am learning from you and how my 30 plus years in sales & management will be a benefit in this new, exciting venture of voice over. Looking forward to more info.
Have you taken Susan’s class?
Thank you again!
Love you videos pearls of wisdom that help keep me inspired!
Susan, outstanding information as always from the Great Voice Company. This was very helpful for me as I am starting somewhat all over again due to delays in my time. I look forward to you and the Great Voice Company to get me up and running again.. Your coaching way above any other coaching I have checked out.
Thank you again for motivating me with your encouragement.
Hi Susan! First, the new website design is eye-catching. It looks bright and engaging. Second, regarding the”who shouldn’t do voice-overs” clip, I guess you’re trying to tell me my introverted personality “might” be an issue. Beyond forcing myself to pretend to be something I’m not, how do I become less of a hermit? Sure, the lure of a guaranteed $1000 gig would do the trick but any tips, suggestions for those of us who are somewhat ‘freaked out” at the thought of cold calling complete strangers or something of the sort.
Love this blog. Thanks for being real! I want to get back on track with this again and love the encouragement!
