If you think a lack of auditions is the only thing standing between you and the voice over success you’re after, I’ve got news for you.
It’s not!
Struggling voice talent think a lack of auditions is their problem. That’s because everything they’re taught about marketing their voice(if they even think about marketing at all) is all wrong! Auditions, branding, even a great demo will not magically produce voice over jobs for you unless you understand a key marketing fundamental.
And the truth is, once you understand it, knowing how to get voice over jobs should never be a problem for you. I made a short video to help you out today. You can watch it below…
It’s part of a series I’m doing on finding your perfect voice over job niche.
That’s because focusing your marketing efforts on one (or more) voice over niches where you have an edge is a big marketing secret.
Today’s video focuses on one of the hottest and fastest growing voice over job niches:
Check it out below I think you’ll find the inspiration and help you need.
And after you watch the video I want to know your thoughts, whether you’re just starting out or you’ve at this awhile. Does the E-Learning niche resonate for you? If not, what else are you thinking about?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments box. I want to read about what’s on your mind so I can support you.
To your voice over success,
Susan Berkley,
Founder, The Great Voice Company
IF! I had the time and opportunity, I would like to try my hand — I mean voice! — doing what you just described on this video. I own a cleaning business and my time is very, very limited. I have written and published three books concerning the Vietnam War and post-Vietnam. Don’t know how I did that! I have done two voice overs; one back around 1980 while college bound, and another for a religious order of brothers and sisters: the St. Augustine Rule; did that one about five or six years ago. Now, the poor religious have to listen to MY voice! What a penance! In any event, I’ll stay tuned to your videos — have been following you (so to speak) for years now. Best wishes and God bless. Gen.
This was so inspiring! Since I could not afford attending one of your great boot camps I did some research to see how I could get some experience until then. GUESS WHAT? Right at this moment I am doing my orientation for Ally Learning. I will begin the process of ebooks recording when I am complete! Great to hear I am still headed in the right direction.
Hi,
My husband and I have been doing voiceovers for 6 years now. We get work but not on any regular basis. My husband is really good at E-learning voiceovers but we’re not sure where to look for more jobs. Do you have any suggestions? We have a top quality recording studio, we have professional demos, and a new website.
We weren’t able to attend the VO Bootcamp in New York but would definitely like to learn more about the 4 pillars of VO (especially the third tier – marketing).
Is there anything in your program that may help us get more work on a regular basis. Your video says there is plenty of work out there but we are having trouble finding it.
Thank you,
Gail
Hi Susan:
I’ve done numerous “industrial narrations” in years past along with commercials as part of a long career in major & medium market radio and television. Still on the air part time here. Being now in Sarasota, talked to you years ago about your time at 106.9. Have professional gear & editing at home now…would be interested in hearing more. Thanks!

Hello Susan,
I think I’d be good at E Learning VO. here’s my question. . . .
Just who and where do I market myself?
You’ve known me for a few years now and I think you’ll agree that I’d be good at E Learning VO. Check out my website and listen to my demos for a refresher. http://www.bpsmythvoice.com
Thanks,

Hello Susan,
I have had an interest in doing voice over work for a while. I appreciate that you take the time to explain how this industry really operates.
This video identified a whole new segment (E-Learning)of VO work opportunity. I must also admit that I am a major procrastinator and GRTGR has got me bad. You will be the first I notify when I have any success.
I’m not sure about the E-learning niche.I am interested in voice over and hope to have a demo to bring at your next bootcamp in March.I like so many is hesitant to jump in the water.I have always been told that my voice is very authoritive and should use this gift in some way.
Thanks Susan for the support.
Hi Susan — thanks so much for all you give. You really provide so much value.
I’d love to see a video on ways to break into the eLearning niche aside from cold calling and pay-to-play sites. eLearning providers have a lot of associations, and I’m wondering if it’s worth spending time/money with sponsorships, advertising, booths at trade shows/exhibit halls…any thoughts?
Thanks again!
Hi Susan! Thank you for the time you take to share all of this wonderful information! My interest is in the real estate market- doing voice over for virtual tours. Would love to hear your thoughts on that!
