This week’s Inside Voice Over video training blog is…well…a little unusual.
That’s because I’m going to deliver some straight talk about who should never attempt a voice over career and you might be surprised because it’s not what you think.
Oh sure. There are some people who have problems with being understood but even that can be corrected with hard work and diligent practice.
We’ve had wonderful and highly motivated visually and hearing impaired individuals and persons who stutter take our program and they were able to make adjustments for their challenges and sound great.
That’s not at all who I’m talking about here.
I’ve identified 5 types of people who should steer clear of voice overs because it’s an absolute waste of their time, money and energy.
If we determine you’re on the list, we’ll gently and respectfully steer you away because that’s how we roll.

After you watch the video be sure to leave a comment. I always love to hear from you so I can support you as you grow your voice over career.

Great video! Thanks
Thanks. Simple stuff but essential to be aware of…
What you’ve said about being anti-social is actually true. I used to be anti-social when I started my Voice Over career, but I got to learn that I had to be social in order to be successful. I started talking to people more and met new people, and that’s how I got to know about more voice casting agencies that I could link up with and other Voice Over jobs.
I am glad I am not on this list(smile)
Keep up the good mentoring and training

Great list! Common sense in all the categories.
Great tips. Reminds people that getting into voice over is a commitment. Can’t just treat the business as a casual hobby.
Very informative, I’m more motivated than ever to get my CAREER started…since I’m not on that list.
